They just do things based on how they feel. Their feelings as it relates to their self-image can change daily. One day they can be completely comfortable in their skin and the next day they will like nothing about themselves. Their relationships are profoundly affected. Most of the time relationships with someone who has BDP do not turn out well. That person will go from being in love with someone to having an extreme dislike. These feelings become an unending pattern.

Other severe symptoms include self-harm or attempted suicide. Whenever a person with BDP is having a bad day or going through depressive emotions, they may cause harm to themselves; this is something that has to be monitored. Anxiety and eating disorders tend to affect women with BDP. Illnesses like arthritis, diabetes, and hypertension are also associated with BDP.
