The Strawberry Laser Lipo works in two ways: for inch loss and for stretch marks.
Laser paddles, placed on the skin, send penetrating cold red laser beams into the fat layers of the skin. A rapid change occurs when the red light beams hit the fat cells. First, pores form on the cells creating a spilling out effect. Water, fatty acids and Glycerol move into the space beneath the fatty layers of the skin, as these liquids spill out of the fat cells. Because of this, the size of the adipocyte cells is reduced.
The good thing about this laser lipo is that the effects of it do not hurt or affect neighboring structures such as blood vessels, nerves, or skin.
Then, the lymphatic system removes the fat through the venous system, and it is then processed similarly to the way fatty foods are processed.
For patients with darker skin, where hypo-pigmentation is a possiblilty, it is recommended they use 8-10 laser bars, where the exposure time is 10 minutes.
How Does Strawberry Lipo Work For Stretch Marks?
Stretch marks occur when the dermis or (inner layer) of the skin tears. Oftentimes this tearing happens with rapid weight gain, such as a pregnancy. Another factor that influences stretch marks is hormones. Though they are most commonly found around the stomach, upper thighs and the breasts, they can be found anywhere. Newer stretch marks are redder in color and old stretch marks fade with a silvery white.
The way laser therapy works on stretch marks is through stimulating collagen production in the skin, which helps with elasticity and also helps the skin beneath the stretch marks stronger and thicker. The laser also causes the connective tissue to divide, which also helps reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Though the laser cannot remove the stretch marks all together, it can help significantly reduce the appearance of them.
