If you are considering vaginal rejuvenation, it is good to consider both the risks and the benefits. If you do not know what vaginal rejuvenation is, you need to know. I’m sure you are familiar with plastic surgery. Well, vaginal rejuvenation is just that, plastic surgery on the genitalia of a woman. It may come as a shocker to you that it is possible to have plastic surgery in that area, but many different things can happen that make plastic surgery down there necessary. If you are considering the procedure, you should know all the risks and benefits before you proceed.

Vaginal rejuvenation has become a hot commodity. Gynecologists and plastic surgeons all over the world are performing the surgery. This procedure is only considered for certain people. It is not one that you want to get done if you do not have to. Those who typically think about vaginal rejuvenation are those who have had multiple vaginal births. Sometimes having multiple children affects the vaginal walls, making intercourse less pleasurable. Aging and weight loss may also make you a candidate for vaginal rejuvenation. In both instances, vaginal structures may sag or become stretched. Any soreness or discomfort in the vaginal region should also make you consider vaginal rejuvenation.

What Are The Benefits?

There are many benefits to vaginal rejuvenation. One benefit is a boost in self-confidence. Sometimes the deformation of the vaginal area can make you very insecure. It can affect your sex life and make you afraid to even expose yourself to your partner. Vaginal rejuvenation strengthens and tightens the muscles around your vagina. This procedure restores the vagina to its youthful appearance. You can now get back into your old clothes again. Those swimsuits, shorts, and pants you put away should be taken out. With a rejuvenated vagina, you will look the way you used to look in your tight fitting clothing.

Although there are many benefits, there are a few risks to vaginal rejuvenation. As with any surgery, bleeding is always a risk. There is also a chance of injury and infection. These risks are low, but very plausible. Any surgery on the vaginal area may also affect sexual intercourse. It may take some time for you and your partner to adjust to rejuvenation but after a while, it will become normal. Recovering from surgery may also be painful at first. Horseback riding, bicycling, and certain sexual positions will be too painful to experience, once recovery is complete, you should be able to return to these activities.

How Is It Done?

Vaginal rejuvenation by vaginoplasty (tightening of the vagina) or labiaplasty (labia “lip” tightening or restructuring) is extremely popular these days. So many women are embarrassed by the sagging and deformation of the vaginal area. If you are one of them, you do not have to be embarrassed anymore. Get not only your sex life back, but get your confidence back with vaginal rejuvenation. Talk with your gynecologists about it first. If you are a candidate, they may choose to do the surgery or refer you to a plastic surgeon. Just knowing you can get your youth back is the best feeling.
