Raquel Welch, Judi Dench, Jane Fonda, Tina Turner, Sean Connery, Harrison Ford…what do all these amazing stars have in common? They are all in their 70’s! But surprisingly, they don’t look a bit older than 50! We really are entering into an age where the affects of aging are being bypassed by concisely, mastered surgical and non-surgical anti-aging techniques. Celebrities and non-celebrities alike are defying the affects of gravity and everything else that comes with aging. Jane Fonda

In an information saturated time, it is clear that older generations are more tuned in than ever to exercise, staying hydrated and a proper diet to help hold on to their youthful selves. And lets not leave out plastic surgery to this equation!

Septuagint’s Are More Youthful & Active Than Ever

Dr. Stephen S. Park, Vice-Chairman of the Department of Otolarygology-Head & Neck Surgery at The University of Virginia in Charlottesville says, “The 70-year-old person today is fit and a frequent seeker of facial plastic surgery, in quest of matching their vibrant health with their own outward appearance. Creams and lasers can only do so much. Gravity usually has the last word, unless it competes with the scalpel.”

Safety in Cosmetic Surgical Recovery

Sam Rizk, New York City facial plastic surgeon, attributes great advances in technology and new innovative procedures to helping quick recovery time and diminishing scars. Aging gracefully has become such an easier option than it was in the past, and surgeries are becoming more and more natural looking.

Sean ConneryMax Yezhelyev, MD, PhD, Department of Plastic Surgery at Vanderbilt University did a study called, “Safety of Cosmetic Procedures in Elderly and Octogenarian Patients.” The results covered research conducted from 2008-2013 and showed that any potential complications that occur after surgery had the same rate of risks in elderly people as they had in young adults.

People in 60’s & 70’s Are Choosing Fillers & Botox

Currently, the highest satisfaction rates in 2013 were for injectable fillers and injectable wrinkle treatments, according to the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. We are also seeing more and more patients come in for this rejuvenation treatment, who are in their 60’s and 70’s. It’s an exciting time in technological and cosmetic advances where 70 really is the new 50
