Board certified Dallas-Fort Worth plastic surgeon, Dr. Ramsey Choucair says, “Coolsculpting is noninvasive, well tolerated, and has no downtime.”Coolsculpting uses cooling plates to cool fat cells, crystallize them, and then destroy them. The troublesome area, is selected, and a gel pad is placed on the skin to protect it from the extremely cold temperature. Once the pad is in place, an applicator is placed over the targeted area.

Treatments last about an hour and there is minimal discomfort; it just feels cold. It usually takes about 3 months before you can see a difference. Some patients will start to notice a difference within a few weeks with the way their pants fit.

Is Coolsculpting right for you?

  • You’re in good shape but have stubborn fat bulges. You are consistent in workouts but have trouble with losing in the abdominal or flank area. You have lost weight, but the fat bulge stayed put.
  • You are self-conscious about your body because of bulges when you wear pants or jeans.
  • You want to improve your midsection but want a non-surgical option.

Do you have stubborn love handles, also known as a muffin top? When you put on your jeans is there a bit too much puffiness around the top? Do you have those areas on your body that no matter what you do, just won’t go away? Coolsculpting is a quick, easy and painless cosmetic procedure and you don’t have to go under the knife. If you are interested in Coolsculpting, talk to your board-certified plastic surgeon about your expectations and the options available.
